Portuguese courts resume normal functioning.

On January 29, 2021, the Portuguese Assembly of the Republic approved Law No. 4-B/2021, dated February 6, which determined the suspension of all procedural periods was determined except those that respected urgent proceedings or Insolvency proceedings.

It was the tenth amendment to Law no. 1-A/2020, dated March 19, which established various temporary and exceptional measures in response to the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and COVID-19 infection, affecting, namely, the area of the Portuguese Courts and Justice Authorities.

However, on March 25, 2021, the Portuguese Assembly of the Republic approved Law No. 13-B/2021, dated April 5, and the suspension term ended. Thereby, on April 6 Portuguese courts returned to normal.
