{"id":12870,"date":"2019-10-10T13:18:21","date_gmt":"2019-10-10T13:18:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pmcg.pt\/?p=12870"},"modified":"2020-03-12T18:01:46","modified_gmt":"2020-03-12T18:01:46","slug":"sale-agreed-for-portuguese-communications-companies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pmcg.pt\/en\/sale-agreed-for-portuguese-communications-companies\/","title":{"rendered":"Sale agreed for Portuguese communications companies"},"content":{"rendered":"<table width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>Sale agreed for Portuguese communications companies<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\">Less than a year after being purchased by the American private equity fund KKR, the Portuguese communications companies Nowo (previously Cabovis\u00e3o) and Oni have been bought by the Spanish telecoms firm M\u00e1sM\u00f3vil.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\">According to reports from <a style=\"color: #003300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.insol-europe.org\/mailer\/l\/O7S9vVtdHZhKOylTYikmTA\/763KpERPWi4xu8926XzQLj3j3g\/vaaaLS1xikyt5dJi2Z8fXg\"><em>Advanced Television<\/em><\/a>, M\u00e1sM\u00f3vil is partnering with GAEA Inversi\u00f3n to buy the companies in a deal that will give them joint ownership over the brands. GAEA Inversi\u00f3n, which is part of the Inveready Group, has been established specifically for the purpose of this deal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\">An insolvency petition was filed against Nowo by Altice Portugal in September 2018, over unpaid debts of \u20ac6 million. Nowo was subsequently able to reach a payment agreement with the creditor.
